Your first session at Hope & Freedom Counseling Services will last approximately two hours.

During the first hour, you will be asked to provide a great deal of background information and take several assessments.  (In some cases we  you may download most of these forms and complete them prior to coming in for your session.)  You will be assessed for the presence of sex addiction, the degree of the addiction if it is present, as well as assessing you for a number of things that may be relatedIn that case, you will be asked to arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled time with the therapist to complete two final assessments which must be completed onsite.  Instructions on downloading the Intake Packet will be given when you book your appointment.

Next, you will spend approximately an hour with your therapist as you discuss your current situation in detail as well as your goals for therapy. 

At the conclusion of the session, your therapist will talk with you about a preliminary treatment plan.

Subsequent individual therapy sessions will last approximately 45 minutes each. 

If group therapy is also indicated, most of those sessions will last approximately one-and-a-half hours.
